Jordin Johnson
Founder
Jordin, a Kansas City native, has always cherished her hometown and the vibrant community it offers. With a background in marketing and hospitality, her love for Champagne and all things sparkling became the driving force behind Blanc. A pivotal trip to Europe in 2022 reignited her passion for wine, inspiring her to create a space where the rich history and magic of a glass of bubbly can be celebrated every day. Jordin thrives on connecting with local entrepreneurs, who she believes are the backbone of Kansas City's thriving spirit. When she’s not at Blanc, she’s a dedicated mom to her child and two pups, finding joy in the little moments that make life sparkle.
Kandis Thurman
Director of Operations
Kandis grew up in Lee’s Summit but has always felt a strong connection to Downtown Kansas City, where her family’s business is rooted. A mom to two kids, a dog, and a few rescue kittens, she juggles her busy life with a passion for plants, filling her home with as many as she can get her hands on. Although she studied fine art and art therapy, Kandis discovered her true calling in the service industry, where she loves creating memorable experiences for others. Her love for Champagne and wine is a perfect match for her role at Blanc, and while she enjoys traveling internationally, Kansas City will always be where her heart is.
Tom Tabone
Executive Chef
Tom graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York City in 2013 and then spent several years cooking in traditional French, Italian and Asian restaurants there, experiences reflected in his plates at Jarocho. He credits chef Waldy Malouf at the now-shuttered Beacon in New York for truly pushing his creativity and arranging meaningful stages for him.
